Partie I : Portée, champ d’application, définitions et principes fondamentaux

Portée et champ d’application

Les présentes règles énoncent les principes qui doivent guider la création et le bon fonctionnement des services de probation. Elles s’appliquent aussi à d’autres organisations lorsqu’elles accomplissent les tâches couvertes par ces règles, y compris d’autres organismes publics, ainsi que des organisations non gouvernementales et commerciales. Aide à la réadaptation : processus consistant à réintégrer de manière volontaire dans la société un auteur d’infraction, après sa sortie définitive de prison, d’une manière à la fois positive, planifiée et encadrée. Dans les présentes règles, ce terme est distinct du terme « réinsertion », qui fait référence à une intervention prévue par la loi et mise en place après la sortie. Eurojust. Le 16 février, le Collège d’Eurojust, l’organisation européenne de coopération judiciaire, a élu le Britannique Aled Williams, 62 ans, comme nouveau président. Son élection doit maintenant être approuvée par le Conseil des ministres européens de la justice. Il succède au Portugais José Luis Lopes da Mota, qui avait démissionné le 16 décembre, après avoir été accusé de pressions sur des magistrats de son pays dans une affaire de corruption. Aled Williams a intégré Eurojust en 2006 et s’est déclaré très heureux de pouvoir prendre la tête de cet organisme qui, suite à l’entrée en vigueur du traité de Lisbonne, a acquis de nouvelles compétences et responsabilités en matière de coopération judiciaire Continuer la lecture de 181- UNION EUROPEENNE
